I was having AC issues and decided to get a Groupon to get it charged and checked. I was optimistic. I already don't trust mechanics and shops as it. Before coming in, I did check my AC relay and fuses. After they completed the work, they told me that I have electrical issues and quoted me about $100/hour for labor to figure what is wrong and any additional costs to charge for parts. I told the service manager, Jorge that I might have to call around and think about it. The next day, I decided to circle back and look at the AC fuse/relay myself (because maybe that was the issue). I located an $9 replacement part and as I was looking at my fuse or relay, I noticed that the casing was cracked. I did check it 2 weeks ago and the casing was not like this. I know so because I went in to check my fuses. I brought this to Jorge's attention, how it was a concern for me. He was in complete defense and denial of what happened. Didn't even apologize or provide solid customer service. He could have said, "that is strange that my mechanic would do this, but you know what, since the part is fairly cheap, we can help you out." But, no -- he patronized me and blamed the age of the vehicle and said it could have been a replacement fuse. I said no, it's an OEM part...then he blamed the hot and cold weather creating cracking to the casing. Strange since the other relay casings were just fine. The plastic is not soft, but hard, someone clearly took a pliers wrench to it. I mentioned that to him and he just laughed and patronized me like I didn't know what tool I was talking about. It's such a bad look. Why would I TRUST a place that would charge me $100/hour for labor for a small part while having the manager patronize me? I understand that it's "his job" to "protect" his mechanics, but this doesn't make sense to me and his poor attitude towards this situation was completely displayed when he hung up on me with total complete disregard to any of it. No resolve, no apologizes, no nothing. I think he should really reassess his customer service abilities.

Hello, We are sorry to hear about your experience. When you came in with your A/C problem, we simply diagnosed your vehicle and did not touch anything such as fuses or anything else. Please reach out to us and would be happy to address these concerns. Thank you.

Jorge is very pleasant to do business with, very accommodating, but unfortunately that was the only positive part of my experience. I pointed out explicitly which wheel I was having issues with, and was charged for the removal and inspection of all FOUR tires (?). I decided to let that go, because my Groupon covered it. The mechanics also unplugged my dash cam, which is very suspicious. Ultimately their diagnosis was I needed a replacement caliper, and Jorge showed me pictures of some rust on that part. Along with several other brake fixes (which I was told were necessary to fix that caliper), the parts/labor estimate came back to the tune of almost $800. Something didn't seem right, and upon getting a second opinion at my local shop, I was told and I quote "that caliper is fine, just needs to be cleaned up a bit. You just need some new pads because of they were installed incorrectly". Ultimately I'm really glad I went with my gut and decided to have a trusted mechanic take a look at my car. I can't imagine how my pads would have been incorrectly installed, but unfortunately I can't rule out sabotage by the mechanics at Sunray. Bunch of snakes.

Hello Brent, We are sorry to hear about this. When you came in, we had to remove your tires to inspect the brakes. We found rust in the rear brake caliper, which is what we showed you pictures of. Please reach out to us and we would be happy to address your concerns. Thank you.
