Jorge is very pleasant to do business with, very accommodating, but unfortunately that was the only positive part of my experience. I pointed out explicitly which wheel I was having issues with, and was charged for the removal and inspection of all FOUR tires (?). I decided to let that go, because my Groupon covered it. The mechanics also unplugged my dash cam, which is very suspicious. Ultimately their diagnosis was I needed a replacement caliper, and Jorge showed me pictures of some rust on that part. Along with several other brake fixes (which I was told were necessary to fix that caliper), the parts/labor estimate came back to the tune of almost $800. Something didn't seem right, and upon getting a second opinion at my local shop, I was told and I quote "that caliper is fine, just needs to be cleaned up a bit. You just need some new pads because of they were installed incorrectly". Ultimately I'm really glad I went with my gut and decided to have a trusted mechanic take a look at my car. I can't imagine how my pads would have been incorrectly installed, but unfortunately I can't rule out sabotage by the mechanics at Sunray. Bunch of snakes.
Hello Brent, We are sorry to hear about this. When you came in, we had to remove your tires to inspect the brakes. We found rust in the rear brake caliper, which is what we showed you pictures of. Please reach out to us and we would be happy to address your concerns. Thank you.
